I am making this post here in hopes of reaching a local (Seattle audience) mainly. I am looking for someone who will be moving out of their house/ apartment/ space and would be willing to allow me to work in one of the rooms for a couple days. I am working on a project and need a space which I hope to fill with papercut figures and take photographs in. I need this space to be empty, so anyone in the process of moving out is probably the best way for me to find this kind of space. This is what I need from this space: -empty corner/ walls/ part of a room -preferably white/ish walls -Seattle area -*Highly preferably* a space with unique floorplan/ wall set up. Ledges, half walls, pillars, constructs that can support a person -Any dates between June 15th and June 28th -2-4 days total with access time to the space. (It is fairly non invasive, as far as you continuing to live there during this time) -anywhere from 2-7 hours on these days access, I am very flexible, and it depends on the size of the space I'm using -non carpeted flooring is preferable -must allow me to put small holes in the wall To note! I am more than willing to repaint the used walls to repair the pin holes. I'm using dress pins to attach paper to the walls and these leave very tiny holes. A coat of paint is enough to repair them. This project is perfect for anyone who needs to paint their space before moving and wants to get out of doing a couple walls of work! As further compensation, I can bring by snacks during the days I am there If you are willing to share your space or know of a space where I can complete this project, please send me an email! I will do my best to answer your questions there, and if we want to move forward with this project, it may be easiest to meet for coffee, work out the details, and build trust for someone potentially entering your home space. Thank you! Opening June 2nd and June 10th, Theories, Seeings is a two person show featuring Elizabeth Faragher and myself. Together, our work explores internal and external perceptions of mind/ body and body/space.
