Portrait
We define ourselves by our experiences- how we were raised, current lifestyle choices, goals, inflictions and expressions. Sometimes we let these things reflect on our exterior, and sometimes our exterior is another defining element towards our shape as an individual. Understanding what makes us unique is often seen as a strength in western civilization; we cherish the delicate idea of the individual while simultaneously acknowledging that we are all able to access this expression. This gridded documentation of humanized emotion abstracts the physical body, highlighting the amorphous shape of emotion and experience as a collection rather than individualization. |
